Fourth Annual Conference: In the framework of “Women’s Role in Economic Growth and Policy Development”
Tbilisi, March 27 – 30, 2018, Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Tbilisi – USAID project “Governing for Growth (G4G) in Georgia”, in cooperation with Women Business Council in Georgia (WBCG),” will hold the fourth annual conference to promote women’s role in government, business and civil society. The experience and feedback gained from the previous years has revealed an increasing trend – more and more women are interested to participate. This trend has spawned a new format, and for the first time, this year, the conference is planned as a weekly event and each day will be dedicated to topics such as: Women’s Role in Economic Growth and Policy Development, Access to Finance, Women and Innovation and Women’s Role in Technical Professions. Women attendees will hear the stories of accomplished women who have traversed obstacles to succeed. It is a unique opportunity for participants to learn and be inspired by successful women leaders. Women leader award winners in business, government and civil society will be revealed. An exhibition where women entrepreneurs will display their companies and/or products during the conference will also be provided for participants. Over 200 participants from the Government, civil society, the private sector and diplomatic corps will attend the event. A networking lunch will follow the conclusion of the conference. The Minister of Justice – Tea Tsulukiani, The First Deputy Chairperson of Parliament -Tamar Chugoshvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development – Dimitri Kumsishvili, Minister of Finance – Mamuka Bakhtadze, EBRD Director for Caucasus, Moldova & Belarus – Bruno Balvanera and Director of the Office of Economic Growth at USAID, Veronica Lee, will provide opening comments followed by other women successful in government, civil society and business.
